Outreach
Bread Program – We are currently seeking volunteers to be a part of our Bread Program outreach ministry. The national restaurant chain Panera Bread donates all the bread and pastries that have not been sold during the day to various charities as part of their “dough-nations” program. St. James’ members participate in this program by picking up the unsold baked goods at Panera Bread in Glastonbury every Sunday evening and transporting them to the MANNA Community Pantry at Hands on Hartford on Monday morning. Four families have been rotating in a monthly schedule, but we now are in need of additional team members for this outreach ministry.
