Shawl Ministry
The Shawl Ministry is a thriving ministry at St. James' whose volunteers create beautifully hand-knit items symbolizing the warmth and support of Christ. The ministry members and their Florida friends knitted 32 baby blankets, 6 large blankets, 3 lap robes, 57 adult hats & scarves and 36 children hats & scarves and then prepared them for delivery to the people of the Cheyenne River Sioux/Lakota Tribe (CRST) in South Dakota by Hawkwing Inc, an organization that works to empower the People of CRST to enhance health and education, end hunger, bring clean water, and empower individuals to overcome generational repression through programs focused on personal and community development.
