Wild Notes
Sunday, May 19th at 4 p.m.
Wild Notes, a group known for their energetic and exuberant traditional acoustic music with roots in Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian, jazz, and classical, will present a concert to benefit hawkwing, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Glastonbury that is dedicated to changing the lives and healing the hearts of the people
of the Cheyenne River Sioux/Lakota Tribe in South Dakota.
Wild Notes' original arrangements of New England and Celtic reels, jigs, hornpipes, and waltzes delight and surprise listeners. Instruments include Celtic harp, concertina, accordion, fiddle, and flute, performed by Kasha Breau, John Kalinowski, and Mickey Koth.
The suggested donation is $20, and all proceeds will go directly to hawkwing.
A reception will follow with a variety of refreshments and a time for fellowship.
