Our mission is to reach out and invite those who are seeking and spiritually needy to join us in experiencing and expressing the joy, peace, and love of Christ, and to encourage and support the St. James’ community (individuals, commissions, committees) in ways that they can share the faith through their lives and ministries.
Our goals:
- Offer educational opportunities throughout the year to help the parish understand the ways and importance of sharing our faith, individually and as a parish family.
- Develop and implement a marketing plan to reach out to the Glastonbury community.
- Work with the Newcomers committee and clergy to communicate with people coming and going to determine better ways to reach out to the community.
The Share the Faith committee will be a part of the Glastonbury Apple Festival this year with a chili booth. We had a book discussion of “The Shack” in the spring and will host another discussion of “The Faith Club” in October, 2009.
