The mission of the Building Design Committee is to insure that present and future design and building proposals and projects maintain a unified architectural and design concept, and to insure that a systematic and organized process be established for that purpose in order to make our building more welcoming to all.
- Tasks and design needs for the recent building project remain on a prioritized list of “still to do”/new project/wish-list items established and maintained by the former Building Committee. The Building Design Committee works to insure that these items are followed through and completed by providing their design expertise and knowledge to accomplish them.
- The Building Design committee acts as a resource to the parish by providing design work and conceptual ideas on interior and exterior changes, improvements related to building design, including, but not limited to, such items as structural, architectural, material improvements and upgrades, and interior design work, such as color schemes, furnishings and furniture, floor coverings, window treatments, signage, lighting, cabinets, placement, location, and installation of bulletin boards or art work, and general decorating items throughout the building.
- The Building Design Committee researches the materials needed and suggests the most historically or architecturally appropriate, functional, aesthetic, and economical way to carry out needs, proposals and ideas.
